Established in 2020, our Artificial Intelligence department boasts a strong faculty team of 28 members, including 3 distinguished professors holding Ph.D. degrees. Program Outcomes (PO's)
PO1: Engineering knowledge:Engineering Knowledge: Apply knowledge of mathematics, natural science, computing, engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialization as specified in WK1 to WK4 respectively to develop to the solution of complex engineering problems PO2: Problem Analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions with consideration for sustainable development. (WK1 to WK4) PO3:Design/Development of Solutions: Design creative solutions for complex engineering problems and design/develop systems/components/processes to meet identified needs with consideration for the public health and safety, whole-life cost, net zero carbon, culture, society and environment as required. (WK5) PO4: Conduct Investigations of Complex Problems: Conduct investigations of complex engineering problems using research-based knowledge including design of experiments, modelling, analysis & interpretation of data to provide valid conclusions. (WK8) PO5: Engineering Tool Usage: Create, select and apply appropriate techniques, resources and modern engineering & IT tools, including prediction and modelling recognizing their limitations to solve complex engineering problems. WK1: A systematic, theory-based understanding of the natural sciences applicable to the discipline and awareness of relevant social sciences WK2: Conceptually - based mathematics, numerical analysis, data analysis, statistics and formal aspects of computer and information science to support detailed analysis and modelling applicable to the discipline WK3: A systematic, theory-based formulation of engineering fundamentals required in the engineering discipline WK4: Engineering specialist knowledge that provides theoretical frameworks and bodies of knowledge for the accepted practice areas in the engineering discipline; much is at the forefront of the discipline. Since 2022, we have implemented a full semester internship program that emphasizes applied and experiential learning.

This initiative allows students to immerse themselves in real-world environments, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. By engaging in meaningful internships, students earn while they learn, gaining valuable industry experience and skills that are directly applicable to their future careers. To cultivate a holistic educational experience, we have introduced a trans-disciplinary curriculum framework.

This innovative approach transcends traditional subject boundaries, enabling students to connect knowledge across disciplines. By streamlining education into a cohesive, integrated format, we promote a more enriching learning experience that encourages creativity and critical thinking. In each unit of our courses, we incorporate self-study topics designed to promote autonomous learning.

This initiative empowers students to take charge of their educational journeys, encouraging them to explore areas of interest and engage in independent research. By fostering self-directed learning, we equip students with the skills needed for lifelong learning and adaptability in an ever-evolving world. The recent implementation of a Learning Management System (LMS) has revolutionized our approach to blended learning. This platform enhances the learning experience by providing students with flexible access to resources, interactive content, and collaborative tools. By combining online and face-to-face instruction, we cater to diverse learning styles and ensure that our students are well-equipped for a digital future.

To further enhance our students’ problem-solving abilities, we have established robust On-Job Training (OJT) and apprenticeship programs. These initiatives provide hands-on experience in real-world settings, allowing students to tackle practical challenges while honing their critical thinking and analytical skills. By engaging directly with industry professionals, students gain insights that enrich their academic learning.

At the heart of our innovative teaching-learning process is a commitment to conscious-based education. We believe in nurturing not only the intellect but also the emotional and ethical dimensions of our students. By fostering awareness, empathy, and social responsibility, we prepare our graduates to become thoughtful leaders who can contribute positively to society. Further the implementation of meta-cognitive assessment tools through video format enhances the accuracy of the learning comes in few of the courses related to experiential and applied learning.
